Citing
How do I cite a YouTube video or a lecture?
The uploader is the author for video; the lecturer for a lecture. Add a timestamp for a specific moment, and check whether your lecture is even citable.
How do I cite a source I found quoted in another source?
Use a secondary citation — "Jones (1987, as cited in Smith, 2019)" in APA. Only Smith goes in your reference list, because Smith is what you actually read.
No. A reference list holds only what you cited; a bibliography can also include what you read. APA and Harvard use the first, MLA calls it works cited.
How do I cut an essay that is over the word limit?
Not by deleting a paragraph. Cut hedging, throat-clearing openers and nominalisations first — that recovers 8 to 12% without losing any argument at all.
It depends entirely on what for. 3.0 clears most employer filters, 3.5 is competitive for graduate school, and after your first job almost nobody asks.
